I started dreaming of becoming a hairstylist at the age of 15. I cultivated that yearning throughout my high school years until I received a scholarship to attend cosmetology school in Eau Claire, WI. After graduating at the top of the class and gaining experience at a salon in Eau Claire for one year, I moved to Hayward and managed a salon for 5 years. This was my source of inspiration that finally led me to opening a salon of my own, Town & Country, in 1976. Opening my own salon and creating a family proved to be the goal of a lifetime!
We have now been operating in full swing for 45 years and the salon has undergone many cosmetic changes and additions. We have added a full line of services and retail products that will completely satisfy your needs.
Hair coloring, cutting, and designing remain my expertise and I never grow tired of creating new looks for my clients. My experience and my desire for the cosmetology field seem to continuously grow as I seek new items of interest for our team to utilize with excitement and knowledge.
I am a member of Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce, Professional Beauty Association, and former member of Fashion Group International, National Health and Wellness, and Cambridge Who’s Who of Leading National Professionals. I was honored and proud to create 27 styles in Prom Magazine 2007 for dress designer DeBora Rachelle. I have favorably assisted the Cosmetology School at WITC in Rice Lake, WI and the Hayward High School yearly with upcoming graduates on Career Day in conducting mock interviews for future positions in the area.
We consistently fulfill our customer’s wishes with donation of their hair to Locks of Love Wigs for Kids.
Mandatory annual education is required for all staff to stay informed about the newest trends and happenings within the beauty industry. As a team, we enjoy pooling new ideas and applying new techniques to our salon.
We have collectively styled hair for many Hayward High School plays, along with local community fashion shows.
